Founded in 1982, Yildiz Teknik Üniversitesi (Yildiz Technical University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large metropolis of Istanbul (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Istanbul. Officially recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Yildiz Teknik Üniversitesi (YTÜ) is a very large coeducational Turkish higher education institution. Yildiz Teknik Üniversitesi (YTÜ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 40 years old Turkish higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations.
