Established in 1986, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large city of Zahedan (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Sistan and Baluchestan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences is a coeducational Iranian higher education institution. Zahedan University of Medical Sciences offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 36 years old Iranian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. Zahedan University of Medical Sciences also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, as well as administrative services.
