Founded in 1973, Çukurova Üniversitesi (Çukurova University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Adana (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Çukurova Üniversitesi (CÜ) is a very large coeducational Turkish higher education institution.
